Tim McMahon

Project Engineer

Tim joined the Paterson & Cooke team in 2018 and is a project process engineer based in our Cornwall, UK office.

Tim has extensive multinational experience, having worked in various production and operational metallurgical roles within the base metals mining industry. Since joining Paterson & Cooke, he has worked on a wide range of paste- and mining-related projects around Europe, notably the Somincor Zinc Expansion project at Neves-Corvo mine in Portugal, the Sasa Cut and Fill project in North Macedonia, and the KGHM Station for Segregation and Thickened Tailings project in Poland.

He has actively been involved in all study levels and engineering work from conceptual studies to detailed engineering design and commissioning, where he has been involved both technically and in a project management role. Tim has extensive experience troubleshooting and supporting clients through various paste backfill EPCM projects.

Tim’s strengths lie in his ability to effectively engage with multi-disciplinary client project teams to understand, execute, and implement tailored project solutions through successful and collaborative process design.
