Bulk Water Supply
Innovative approaches and advanced hydraulic analysis enables us to optimise water supply pipeline designs that ensures lowest life cycle costs.
While our focus is on mining applications, we apply our extensive pipeline design experience to water systems as well. These include long-distance bulk supply pipelines, such as desalinated water from the coast to the mine site, or smaller distribution systems at the mine site. Our experience and exposure to a wide range of different applications gives us a unique approach to finding solutions for challenging systems, where difficult constraints may exist.
Using our simulation tools our engineers can model systems to understand flows and constraints in complex networks and accurately predict behaviour. This experience includes design from concept to detail and encompasses operational audits and investigations to improve systems.
NOTABLE PROJECTS
Bulk Water Supply Projects from around the world
We completed the detailed design of the 194 km DN 1300 desalinated water pipeline from Jorf Lasfar to the Khourigba region, where there is an additional 26 km of distribution pipelines. The system has an annual capacity of 80 million cubic metres and delivers water to OCP operations and potentially other users.
We completed the basic engineering of the 150 km long water pipeline from Safi to the Benguerir area deliver water to OCP operations and other users along the central axis. An 86 km branch also provides water to Marrakech. The pipeline will have an annual capacity of 100 million cubic metres when completed.
