Matt joined our team in 2011 and is now Director of Engineering for North America, and the managing director of Paterson & Cooke’s American practice based in Golden, Colorado.

Matt has extensive mining project experience, from early-stage studies through detailed engineering, construction, and commissioning. His broad engineering experience extends across many disciplines and project types, including slurry pipeline systems, underground paste backfill, slurry thickening and filtration plants, pit dewatering pumping systems, leach circuit pumping systems, tailings storage facilities, and general mine infrastructure.

Matt’s greatest asset is his ability to find simple, common-sense, cost-effective, operable, and maintainable solutions to complex problems.
