Julian Rusconi

Managing Director and Principal Engineer

Julian joined the Paterson & Cooke team in 2005, and is now the managing director of Paterson & Cooke Africa, based in our Cape Town office. He also serves on the UK and South African Boards of Directors.

Julian manages the engineering of major slurry pipeline projects. Between 2011 and 2015, he led the engineering of the OCP pipeline in Morocco, the largest slurry pipeline in the world. Since then, he has continued to play a pivotal role in pipeline projects in Morocco and is well known for his work there.

Julian has specialised in business leadership, project management, mechanical and process design of slurry systems, operator training, and commissioning leadership. He frequently lectures at training courses and has written and presented papers at international conferences in Chile and several in Morocco.

Prior to joining Paterson & Cooke, Julian worked for the USA-based Dow Chemical and held key positions at various manufacturers of industrial automated machinery.
