James Wickens

Senior Engineer

Cape Peninsula University of Technology BTech (Mechanical Engineering), 2010; National Diploma, Mechanical Engineering, 2007

James joined our team in 2006 and is a senior engineer in our Cape Town office in South Africa. In 2016, he took over the management of the Cape Town laboratory, which has grown from being mainly focussed on slurry transportation to a full metallurgical test laboratory.

James has extensive test work experience from run-of-mine to tailings disposal with a particular interest in large scale pipe loop tests and pilot plant operations, rheological analysis of a wide range of slurries, fine tailings dewatering, and backfill-related test work.
