Meet Our Global Team

Raymond Guang

Senior Tailings Engineer

PhD Engineering (Chemical), 2011 BEng (Chemical), 2006 BBus (Business Administration), 2006 RMIT University, Melbourne

Raymond joined the Paterson & Cooke team in 2022 and is based in our Sudbury office in Canada. He has extensive experience in tailings processing and management within various roles, including dewatering plant design, tailings transportation system design, cost estimates, in-line polymer evaluation, pilot-scale laboratory (dewatering, tailings flow loop) testing, budgeting, and project management.

Previously, his work at the Rheology Materials and Processing Centre (RMPC) at RMIT University in Melbourne involved turbulent open channel flow modelling and various rheological characterisations for sewage sludge, polymeric materials, and tailings suspensions.

Raymond’s research interests include tailings dewatering, tailings rheology, in-line polymer application and beach slope prediction.
