Enya Nilis

Backfill Team Lead: Europe

Enya is a chartered Mining and Geotechnical Engineer, working in the mining industry for over 10 years with over 5 years’ experience working in underground mining operations, during which time she gained extensive knowledge in mine planning and coordinating backfill operations.

Completing her Master’s degree in Belgium, she joined the Lisheen Mine in Ireland after which she commenced work at the Black Mountain Mine in South Africa. She has complimented her site knowledge with a Rock Mechanics certificate from the Chamber of Mines of South Africa.

Enya joined Paterson & Cooke in 2017 where she works as the Backfill Team Lead for Europe specialising in mine backfill plant and reticulation design.
