Paulo Eriz

Engineering Manager & Director

Civil Engineering Degree (Mech), 2009 Universidad de Concepción

Paulo joined Paterson & Cooke in 2011 and is the engineering manager and director of our Santiago office in Chile. He has broad experience in the design of tailings, water, and mining solutions transportation systems.

Paulo is involved in several projects, from the conceptual through to the detailed stages, as well as start-up assistance. His areas of expertise in the design of fluid transport systems include hydraulic, mechanical, and piping disciplines. He also participates in the development of internal plans for the improvement of technical quality. Cost estimations, field assistance, project management, development of calculation tools, selection of pumping equipment, technical specifications, stress analysis of piping systems, and development of technical-economic engineering proposals complete his specific experience in this field.

Paulo has presented several in-house specialisation courses on the design of slurry systems. He has also been a member of the technical committee in the Tailings conference series.
