The marine mining environment is one that is fraught with fairly unique challenges, both in terms of the recovery of material from the sea floor as well as the treatment of the material once it has reached the treatment platform.

Paterson & Cooke has been involved in the marine diamond mining industry since 1991 primarily in the design and specification of various specialized pumping systems within the process plant and offshore mining systems. Through this experience, we are now working on the improvement of the operation of the front end of the marine diamond processing plant by developing and testing alternative conceptual solutions in specific areas.

Many of the concepts developed have been tested in purpose built hydraulically similar models at our slurry test facility, enabling modifications and improvements to be developed efficiently through actual test experience.
